Every church in America faces significant cultural adaptive changes if they are to thrive in this century. Yet obstacles to these changes seem to appear at every turn. Paul Nixon will be sharing practical strategies for overcoming what he identifies as the six major obstacles to local church change: denominational systems, behavioral/attitudinal issues, lack of spiritual development, building/money issues, changing culture and paradigm disconnect. This webinar will stretch across two different evenings.
Rev Paul Nixon served around twenty years as a pastoral leader in growing congregations. In 2007, Paul moved to Washington DC (the youngest major city in America) with the purpose of helping to plant a missional faith community focused on the needs of urban young adults. Paul has coached and consulted with hundreds of ministries across the USA. The size of these faith communities ranges from a dozen on Sunday to more than 5000. In 2012, Paul worked with Christie Latona to create the Readiness 360 tool for helping churches more readily multiply ministry. Readiness is now used all over the USA by churches that want to multiply their Gospel impact on the world. Paul has authored I Refuse to Lead a Dying Church, Finding Jesus on the Metro, We Refused to Lead a Dying Church and in early 2013, The Surprise Factor by Paul Nixon and Kim Shockley
